how to add apps to entune

The Entune App Suite has a very user-friendly set-up system and offers a variety of application choices for the driver.

(Please note:  Pandora®, OpenTable®, and Facebook Places are no longer available in the Entune™ App Suite, as these products and services are no longer supported by the third-party application providers.)

Choosing and Linking Apps to Your Entune 3.0 System

Toyota's Entune App Suite gives owners a variety of data services to enhance their entertainment options and add convenience to their daily routine.

With the Entune App Suite you can access Entune's Destination Search, iHeartRadio and MovieTickets.com.  You can also access sports scores, stocks, fuel prices, Slacker Radio, HD Weather and HD Traffic.

Getting started is easy.  iPhone users can download the Entune App Suite from Apple's App Store; and at Google Play, for Android users.  Simply search for Entune.

Entune App Suites is now subscription free, but you will need to register for it—unless you've already done so—at MyEntune.com .

Once you've downloaded the app to your smartphone, open it.  To sign up, touch the "sign up" button.  Then you will need to enter the following:

First and last name

Email address

Create a password

Then enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). For convenience, the Entune App has a built-in scanner that enables you to scan the VIN with your phone's camera.  Once Entune has processed your VIN, tap "done."

After reviewing the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, tap "Agree."  Then tap "Continue."

To use apps such as iHeartRadio, Slacker Radio and Movieticket.com with your vehicle's multimedia system, you will need to link your accounts.  Whether you have an iPhone or an Android, the process is the same.

From the Entune App, iPhone users will need to touch the gear icon in order to launch the settings menu.  On an Android phone, select the "menu" button and then select "options."

From the settings screen, select "manage accounts" and then select an account to link.  Input your account credentials for the app.  If you don't have an account, you can create one directly from the app.  Once you have linked your account, a green checkmark will appear next to the application.

Now, from inside your vehicle, be sure your phone has been paired to the system and the Entune app is open.  The multimedia system will connect with your phone and ask you if you would like to update the system.  If you are not prompted to update the multimedia systems, the updates may have already been installed on your vehicle.  Scroll through the screens to confirm that your apps appear.   Select "now" to begin the process.

While the system is downloading the app suite through your phone, do not remove your phone from the vehicle; or turn the vehicle off.  This will interrupt the update.  This process takes approximately 7-10 minutes.

The time it takes to download the app to your multimedia system depends on your phone's data signal strength.  Once downloaded, touch "install" and then "continue" to complete the installation process.  Touch "OK" to display the app screen and confirm that the Entune apps appear.  If the app has been previously installed, you may not be prompted to update system.
