Roaccutane Service During Coronavirus Lockdown

We are the first and only clinic in the UK to offer a fully doctor monitored, 100% at home Roaccutane service. For the safety of our patients and staff, we've pioneered a comprehensive service that includes:

  • Consultations and check ups with GMC registered specialist doctor via video link
  • Blood tests via postal kit
  • Pregnancy tests (if applicable) via postal kit
  • Delivery of Roaccutane direct to your door through our UK registered pharmacy partner

This means that you no longer need to be close to our main clinic in Harley Street as we can provide the service to you anywhere in the United Kingdom. Regardless of whether you live in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, you can receive Roaccutane treatment from the comfort and safety of your own home.

If you do live near our lab in central London and prefer to attend in person for blood tests, we are able to issue you a letter to confirm travel to/from the lab is essential as part of medical treatment. You are welcome to fill your prescription at your local pharmacy, or you can opt for it to be filled by our UK registered partner pharmacy.

We've had a large number of patients coming to us who were scheduled to come under care for Roaccutane with the NHS, which has now been cancelled due to the coronavirus situation. We can also take patients under care mid-treatment if your current doctor is no longer able to treat you.

Roaccutane by Private Prescription

Why let acne spoil your life when there are safe, fast and effective cures available?

Adult acne treatment with Roaccutane (aka Accutane or isotretinoin) is now available via private prescription in London from our Cosmetic Dermatology division in Harley Street.

There is now no need to wait 6 months or more for an NHS appointment or risk ordering from online pharmacies. You can enjoy the fast, effective results of Roaccutane (Accutane) while being safely monitoured by a professional doctor for a fixed price that includes two blood tests, assessments and pregnancy tests as required.

What is Roaccutane (Accutane)?

Roaccutane is one of the most effective treatments available for adult acne vulgaris. Roaccutane is a prescription only medicine that helps to dry oil glands and get your active adult acne under control. Roaccutane is appropriate for moderate to severe acne and you must be seen regularly by your botonics Dermatologist during treatment. Roaccutane is a retinoid derived from Vitamin A and occurs in small quantities naturally in the body. Adult acne has been effectively treated with Roaccutane for over 30 years.

Benefits of Roaccutane (Accutane)

  • When under professional supervision of an appropriate prescriber, Roaccutane is perhaps the fastest, most effective and longest lasting treatments available today for adult onset acne
  • While the makers of Roaccutane do not claim it to be a cure, many clients are effectively cured in the long term, or enjoy several years of clear, spot free skin

Why Go Private with botonics for Roaccutane?

Getting a referral from a GP and waiting to see an NHS Dermatologist can take 6 months or more. While it may be cheaper, what is the value to you of enjoying those 6 months free of embarrassing adult acne that saps your confidence and self-esteem? At botonics, no GP referral is required and you are in charge of the pace of your Roaccutane treatment.

Appointments to see the prescribing doctor and have blood tests are generally available within several days, allowing you to have Roaccutane treatment quickly and at your convenience. While under the care of your botonics doctor for Roaccutane, you can also receive prescriptions for our professional range of skin care products. These products are only available via prescription and can help maintain and improve your skin even after you complete your course of Roaccutane.

Why Not Just Buy Roaccutane from an Online Pharmacy?

While it is perhaps the most effective treatment available today for adult acne, Roaccutane can have some serious side affects such as damage to internal organs, depression and it can cause birth defects. This is why it is critically important to undertake a course of Roaccutane only under the professional supervision of an experienced doctor. Horror stories abound about people trying to save a little money by purchasing Roaccutane without a prescription online.

Prescribing the correct dose for you depends on numerous factors such as the severity of your adult acne and your body weight, so self-prescribing Roaccutane causes a real threat to your health. Even if you get the Roaccutane dosage correct, you can never be sure what you'll get when you order from an online pharmacy. While there are some good ones these days, many online pharmacies sell generic medications or placebos containing chalk/talcum powder or will send you out of date medications.

At botonics, you will receive the blood tests (two included), personal assessments and pregnancy tests necessary to ensure you enjoy the benefits of Roaccutane while safely avoiding any nasty side effects.

What's Included

The first step toward Roaccutane treatment is a consultation with your botonics specialist doctor. If assessed to be suitable for treatment, you will then be booked in for an initial blood test (out of hours appointments available) and instructed to go on birth control if applicable. You will be prescribed your first course of Roaccutane subject to your blood and pregnancy tests.

Most courses of Roaccutane last 5 – 7 months during which time the skin may become red and dry. Often, acne becomes a little worse before improvement occurs. Roaccutane (isotretinoin) can cause birth defects. Therefore, it is a requirement that during the 5 – 7 months you will be required to take Roaccutane and for several months after, you do not become pregnant. To learn more about adverse side effects, precautions during and after treatment, see our section on Roaccutane Client Information.

Treatment with Roaccutane includes the following

  • Your initial consultation and assessment with our experienced prescriber
  • Two blood tests at our lab in central London, or optionally via postal kit
  • Monthly pregnancy tests (if applicable), either in person or optionally via postal kit
  • Regular prescriptions for Roaccutane that can be filled at any pharmacy, or optionally filled by our UK registered pharmacy partner direct to your door
  • (For men) 4 assessments with your Dermatologist during the 5 – 7 month treatment phase
  • (For women) 7 assessments with your Dermatologist during the 5 – 7 month treatment phase, including monthly pregnancy tests

Price of Roaccutane Treatment

The cost of your Roaccutane treatment is a fixed price. Prices, which are all inclusive of your initial consultation, two blood tests, regular assessments, pregnancy tests (if applicable), taxes and charges, are as follows:

  • £1,200 for men, with three payment plans
    • £1,200 one-off payment (discount of 6%)
    • £625 x 2 monthly payments (discount of 2%)
    • £425 x 3 monthly payments
  • £1,600 for women, with three payment plans
    • £1,600 one-off payment (discount of 6%)
    • £835 x 2 monthly payments (discount of 2%)
    • £570 x 3 monthly payments

Cost of Roaccutane

The treatment price does NOT include the cost of Roaccutane, which must be purchased from a pharmacy via prescription. The dosage prescribed to you will depend partially on your body weight. A rough guide as to the cost (as at May 2020) of Roaccutane based on body weight is approximately £50 per stone of body weight over the course of treatment. For example, a 10 stone client would therefore expect to pay about £500 over the course of 5 – 7 months to the pharmacy for the Roaccutane medication.

The prescription can be filled at any UK pharmacy, and we also offer the option for the prescription to be filled by our UK registered pharmacy partner with a direct to your door service.
